BIRTHDAY PARTY HATCHBACK FUN
2009 Chevy Aveo5 1LT

Practical and stylish: the 2009 Chevy Aveo5 1LT offers the best of both worlds. The functionality of the ECOTEC 1.6L DOHC Engine and new oil life monitor combined with its fresh, bold grille and optional spoiler make the Aveo5 one of the finest in its class, which is worth celebrating. Therefore, we took the Aveo5 to the main drag in Tempe in order to party the night away for my sister, Julia’s, 30th birthday.
The Aveo5 was exceptionally easy to parallel park along Mill Avenue, which we were thankful for. Despite its elegant, tan interior with wood trim, we felt rather embarrassed pulling the Tahiti Green Aveo5 up to the valet at Z’Tejas. It’s a great color for a cocktail, but excessively flashy when it’s not in a glass with a paper umbrella.
I opened the hatchback to grab my sister’s gift from beneath the rear cargo shade. Although the storage area in the Aveo5 is rather small, the flip & fold rear seats offer plenty of space, which would have made it easy to load up the Coach Heritage Stripe Travel Satchel my sister was hoping for. However, I got Julia a more meaningful picture frame engraved with “Happy 30th Birthday; I love you.” Needless to say, it wasn’t necessary to fold the seats down, but I was certain she would appreciate my gift, which would be a constant reminder of this recent milestone.
Dinner was delicious and the conversation was plentiful. With full bellies, we walked to The Big Bang dueling piano bar across the street. As we passed by the 2009 Chevy Aveo5 1LT, we noticed a motorcycle squeezed between our car and the monstrous SUV parked behind us. Being Chevy’s smallest vehicle, one spot became two. Yet, our biker friend neglected to feed the meter.
Not to worry though. We were willing to add more change, because not only is the Aveo5 Chevy’s smallest car, it is also the least expensive. At $14, 100, the Aveo5 is affordable, even if you splurge on the model power package that includes 15” 5-spoke aluminum wheels, cruise control and XM radio, which makes the price only $15,425. Additionally, you save even more money in the long run due to the 27 city and 34 highway miles per gallon. I even put a couple quarters in the meter for the SUV behind us. I was certain they weren’t getting the good gas mileage we were with the Aveo5.
We were lucky to find a few tables close to the stage once we arrived at The Big Bang. Of course, we slipped a few bucks and a Happy Birthday request to one of the piano players, and Julia was called to the stage along with two other women celebrating their birthdays. It was a standard dance off, and the winner would be determined by the applause from the audience; Julia shattered the competition. She insisted on giving me the “Bang This” bumper sticker she won, which I was sure would look perfect on the back of the 2009 Chevy Aveo5.
If another car took the bumper sticker literally and actually banged the back of the Aveo5, the 5-year, 100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty would prove it’s the best coverage in America. And even though the Aveo5 is small at 2, 557 pounds, it still has good crash test numbers. It received 5-star front, 5-star driver, and 4-star front passenger side impact. Therefore, even if someone were to “Bang This,” Chevy guarantees a stress-free recovery.
Unlike the recovery we would be experiencing the next morning after such an exciting night. It was so thrilling that we used the OnStar RideAssist to help us find a ride home. The OnStar advisor sent us a taxi to our exact location using GPS technology. I took a little nap in the comfy driver seat equipped with armrest while we waited for our ride.
Once we arrived safely at home, I slept peacefully knowing OnStar would protect the Aveo5. With Stolen Vehicle Assistance, OnStar would be able to locate the vehicle if someone had the guts to steal it. After all, who would steal a glittering, Tahiti Green car? Not exactly inconspicuous.
